SS 316 Flange
Stainless steel 316 is one of the most versatile grades and provides high strength. Austenitic stainless steel with chromium, nickel, and molybdenum is used to make stainless steel 316 flanges. India is a top producer and supplier of stainless steel 316 flanges in a variety of sizes and standards. There are various kinds of flanges, including plate flanges, weld neck flanges, blind flanges, and slip-on flanges. Each one of them has a distinct function in the plumbing.
Just by allowing the pipe to slip onto the flange, the A182 F316 Slip-On Flange is used to join two smooth pipes at an exact spot. Fittings, valves, and other high temperature components with forged and rolled flanges are covered by the A182 specification. The material can withstand temperatures as high as 870 degrees Celsius during operation. Due to the inclusion of molybdenum in the composition, the ASME SA182 SS 316 Weld Neck Flange and other varieties are utilised specifically for chloride ion corrosion resistance. As a result, the marine, petrochemical, oil and gas, wastewater management, pollution control, and food processing industries all use these flanges. Another type of flange used to seal a pipe line is the SS 316 blind flange. These are helpful for lines that need regular maintenance. The flanges’ strength is comparable to that of 304 flanges. They have minimum yield and tensile strengths of 515 MPa and 205 MPa, respectively. The nominal bore sizes of the SS DIN 1.4401 Plate Flanges and other varieties range from 12 inches to 48 inches.
